Bugs and Bare Feet is a family-owned consulting business for the Education and Care sector.
Narelle and Gavin are both qualified trainers and assessors.
Narelle has worked in the Early Education and Care sector for over 30 years and can’t imagine working anywhere else!
Her experience includes working in schools, long day care, OSHC and family day care.
Narelle has lectured at TAFE, private RTO’s and has worked as a professional learning consultant. She now runs Bugs and Bare Feet full time, but also does a shift in OSHC every week - and more in the school holidays - to keep current in the sector.
Gavin worked in customer service and sales for over 25 years. His extensive knowledge and specialist skills can support services to grow their business and maintain relationships with clients. He is now a Diploma qualified educator and works in a service with toddlers 4 days a week!
Together, Gavin and Narelle have been married for over 27 years and have two adult children.
Why ‘Bugs and Bare Feet’?
The reason behind our name is simple. We wanted something fun and a little different, yet representative of how important the basics are.
For us, the basics or ‘grass-roots,’ include children being able to be themselves and be immersed in nature - collecting bugs, running around with bare feet!
Our training is 'back to basics' too. While being in line with all regulations and standards, our training shares the information in practical and easy to understand manner. We aim to always be real and relatable.
